MEET THE DOC

Ryan Wallrich

Ryan Wallrich DMD

Ryan is a fifth-generation Point Loma native. Just around the corner from the current office location, his great-grandfather founded Kettenburg Boat Works and crafted timeless wooden boats that can still be seen cruising the San Diego Bay today. From Red Brick Preschool to PLHS, he has spent his life growing and learning alongside the residents of his hometown community and feels grateful to be able to care for their oral health. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University, College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, AZ - one of the most technologically advanced dental institutions in the nation.

He has received numerous academic awards and has additional training in various subfields of dentistry including dental implantology and cosmetic dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has lectured on various topics from Digital Workflows of CAD/CAM-CBCT Integration to Emerging Dental Applications of 3D Printing. Digital dentistry is a particular passion, and he finds fulfillment in creating life-like, natural smiles for his patients.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

On the weekends you can find Ryan cruising up and down Shelter Island with a coffee and his family - wife (Olivia), son (Brooks), and their wheaten terrier (Benji). He’s a diehard Padres fan and loves kicking back and listening to a Don and Mud broadcast with friends and some .394.
